Campgrounds in Istanbul

Have you ever thought about camping? Relax or change your environment. Did you know that camping has health benefits, including positive effects on children's education?

Several studies show that camping can help you sleep better and improve your memory. When you're surrounded by trees and fresh air, your body releases more serotonin, a naturally occurring neurotransmitter that regulates your mood, appetite, and sleep. The chemical also improves cognitive functions such as memory and learning. Attention Restoration Theory states that urban features such as billboards and buildings steal our attention and require intense concentration. At the same time, nature can attract our attention, but it does not require high concentration. You can agree that so far this information will keep you on the lookout for campgrounds to visit.

During the hot days and nights of this summer, head to some of the best campsites in Istanbul and enjoy a night under the stars while making great memories with family and friends. Read this blog to learn more about Istanbul campgrounds that you can visit to get away from it all.

Corsan (Pirates) Cove Campground

This campsite is located in the sub-district of Kıyıkoy, where the cold water of the Black Sea meets the coast. It's the sound of any camper's dream, combined with the chirping of birds in nature to create a wonderful ambience. You are sure to clear your head in this stunning area.

Sahil Camp Istanbul

Sahil Camp is one of the most popular resorts for nature lovers. It is located in the Sile district, a 35 hectare forested area with the sea on one side and the forest on the other. The site offers a variety of accommodation packages to suit the needs of clients, from cottages, tents, caravans and hobbit houses to private villas. Istanbul Sahir Camp is the place to spend your weekend or vacation away from home, but offers all the comforts you need, if not better.

Bungalows can sleep from 2 to 6 people, with different options ranging from 850 TL to 2,300 TL per night. If you come with a tent, you need to pay a small fee of 150 lire.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities during their stay at Sahil Camp, including bike tours, scuba diving, ATV tours and pool packages. The site features a 24-hour reception, waterfront cafes, restaurants serving a variety of cuisines, survival trails and forest walks. Hacilli Waterfall Camping

Enjoy this free campsite just 30 minutes from Hacilli Falls in the Sile district with the best views. Please keep in mind that some areas of the campground do not have telephone reception. Take beautiful photos of waterfalls in fall and spring, and dry branches are easy to find for a fire, but let the forestry department tell you if a fire is appropriate for the season you visit.

Kilimli Koyu Camp

Camping doesn't have to be expensive. Enjoy free camping at Kilimli Koyu Campsite and take part in diving, fishing, cycling, relaxation, sightseeing, hiking and other sports activities. However, one thing you need to be aware of is that it is in an area with strong winds. Make sure your tent is secure to avoid the risk of sudden high winds. This place is 45 km from Silay city centre and there is no private shopping area for everyday needs; you can head to the nearby coastal amenities. Allowed items include campfires, tents and dogs. Another advantage of the facility is that it is accessible by public transport, is located by the sea and has a mobile phone answering point.

Suluklugol Bolu

After paying a modest entry fee, pitch your tent next to Leach Lake. The area is home to 406 different plant species and 38 endemic species. You can take a few hiking trails along the lake and back into the forest in the opposite direction. Don't forget to bring insect spray as mosquitoes can be annoying. This is a deep forest campground for nature lovers.

Mount Uludag, Bursa

If you need a place to read or get lost in your mind, this is the place. If you've never camped above the tree line before, prepare to be blown away by the silence. But don't be afraid of mosquitoes or flies, as the altitude is too high for flying insects.

It's cold at night, so bring enough warm gear. You should also bring firewood with you when you are above the tree line. If you want a challenging hike, you can hike from the lake to the summit. It takes about an hour and goes through rocky terrain. So bring sunscreen, good shoes, and plenty of water.

Before Camping

Before rushing to these locations, we recommend that you lead your horse and make sure you bring everything on your checklist. Check the weather frequently to make sure you have the right gear, enough bedding and insect repellant for a good night's sleep. Check the list of items to bring, such as sunscreen, spare batteries, proper hiking gear, flashlights, lighters, regular medications, and a first aid kit. It is best to do this tour with knowledge of safety procedures. Don't try something at a campsite for the first time, such as B. climbing or diving, without the help of a licensed guide.
After all of this, don't forget to have fun. Relax, enjoy the trip with your family, and create as many memories as possible.
