Türkiye is close to selling one million properties in 2023

The monthly report on Turkish real estate sales for last October and the total Turkish sales from the beginning of the year until the tenth month of the year was issued and was published yesterday evening, Thursday, November 16, on the website of the Turkish Statistics Institute.

Türkiye sells more than 93 thousand properties in October 2023

The report of the country’s competent authority for statistical sciences stated that the sale of 93,761 properties was recorded in various states and regions during the month of October, and the top three positions were shared by:

• Istanbul: 14,941 properties, a rate of 15.9%
• Ankara 7,394 properties, with a share of 7.9%
• Izmir 5192 properties with a 5.5% share.

 

Total Turkish real estate sales approach one million properties in 2023

The number of Turkish properties sold reached 993,835 properties in the first ten months of the current year 2023.

Mortgaged real estate sales statistics

• October sales of mortgaged properties amounted to 5577 properties.
• The total sales of mortgaged properties between January and October are 166,461 properties.

Other real estate sales statistics

• October sales of other properties were 88,184 properties.
• The total number of other real estate sales since the beginning of the year is 827 thousand and 374 properties.

Direct real estate sales statistics

• Direct real estate sales in October: 29,230 properties.
• The total direct real estate sales in the first ten months of the year were 297,827 properties.

Used real estate sales statistics

• October sales of used properties were 64,531 properties.
• The total number of used real estate sales since the beginning of the year is 696 thousand properties.

How many properties did foreigners buy in October 2023?

Foreigners recorded the purchase of 2,535 properties in various Turkish cities during the month of October, with a share of 2.7% of total real estate sales, and the top three positions were shared by:

• Antalya 931 properties
• Istanbul 785 properties
• Mersin 294 properties
